Rosie Marder is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, double majoring in reporting and communications, with a certificate in digital studies. Her favorite kinds of days are when she can curl up on the couch with a good book or binge her favorite show on a snowy day — which makes sense, since she loves the city of Madison, where snowstorms are too common. This is just one of many reasons why Rosie chose UW-Madison to spend her four years of college at. A scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream at the Daily Scoop at Union looking over the spectacular Lake Mendota, or the bustling State Street filled with the best bars, food and people around are also what she loves the most about Madison, along with endless other reasons.
The food trucks on campus are probably where you’d catch Rosie when she is looking for a bite to eat, especially the spring roll truck. On her way to class, you’ll find her with her earbuds in listening to one of her favorite podcasts with an iced coffee in her hand — something she can’t function without. She always likes to stay up-to-date with the news, whether it’s worldly or pop culture, considering she loves all-things celebrities and probably knows too much about the Kardashians. She is also passionate about beauty and fashion, which all makes sense since she works as a staff writer for a series of entertainment magazines such as Us Weekly, InTouch and Life & Style.

- Spicy mayo, not only because she can’t have a sushi roll without it, but because it’s fun. A mix of sweet and spicy and goes well with almost anything.
